Welcome to the Village of Skaneateles Police Department web page.

Skaneateles is referred to as the Gateway to the Fingerlakes. The men and women of the Skaneateles Police take great pride in the services that they render to the community. The Department provides a community-oriented style of Policing, not only through patrolling the streets in a vehicle but conducting foot patrols thus maintaining contact with the public and local merchants. Since there are four major state highways that intersect our Village, we place extra effort on monitoring traffic, which includes commercial vehicles and how the traffic interacts with the high volume of pedestrians in this resort community. We maintain an excellent relationship with both the Administration and Staff of the Skaneateles Central School system and work closely with them to provide the safest protection to them and the students.
