Electric

The Village of Skaneateles Electric Department is responsible for operating, and maintaining the Village's municipal electric system. Our system includes a substation, the distribution system for all utility poles, transformers, cables, street lights, ornamental light poles, customer services, and electric meters located within the Village. Skaneateles Electric is an enterprise fund that is funded entirely by customer rates and no part of village taxes goes to Skaneateles Electric.
