Village of Skaneateles Board of Trustees Statement Regarding Vandalism:

This has been a difficult time for our Village, and we are relieved to know that swift action was taken to identify and charge the individuals responsible for the vandalism which occurred on the evening of March 17^th. 

We would like to thank the Village Police Department and every law enforcement agency that worked with them to solve this case.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to our community members for their support in denouncing the actions of these individuals, and the compassion that was shown to our Jewish friends and neighbors who were unfairly targeted.

While the actions of these individuals are not reflective of our residents, this can serve as an opportunity for us to come together in educating, improving, and transforming prejudice into understanding.

We are proud to call Skaneateles our home and know that our collective kindness and commitment to inclusion will continue to overcome any attempt to negatively impact this beautiful Village.
