The Skaneateles Police Department is continuing their investigation into the graffiti incident which occurred last weekend.  Several leads have been developed and we encourage the public to come forward with any information which will lead to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible.

The Skaneateles Police Department is investigating several acts of vandalism that occurred in the village overnight. Numerous messages were spray painted on the sidewalks, roadways, and street signs around Leitch Avenue, including one which was anti-Semitic. There were added instances of graffiti on school district property and in Austin Park.

The Skaneateles Police Department received immediate aid to eradicate the damage from the Mayor and Skaneateles Village Board members, Department of Public Works, Skaneateles Central School District, and Town of Skaneateles Parks Department. The initial investigation included the New York State Police in Elbridge, New York State Police Counter-Terrorism Intelligence Unit, New York State Intelligence Center, and Susan DeMari, Security Coordinator for the Jewish Federation of Central New York.
