TOWN OF SKANEATELES

NOTICE OF REFERENDUM

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Skaneateles will hold a public referendum from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the Skaneateles Town Hall, 24 Jordan Street, Skaneateles NY 13152 to consider the following proposition:

“Shall the Town of Skaneateles abolish the office of Tax Collector in the Town of Skaneateles and transfer the powers and duties to the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Skaneateles effective January 1, 2024.”

Voters must be registered with the Board of Elections as provided for in Article 5 of the New York State Election Law.  Absentee ballot applications are available to all eligible voters and may be obtained from the Skaneateles Town Clerk’s office, 24 Jordan Street, Skaneateles NY or at www.townofskaneateles.com.
